Montenidoli, Vernaccia di San Gimignano Tradizionale 2022

Husband-wife duo Elisabetta & Sergio Fagiuoli have winemaking in their blood, with Elisabetta being able to trace familial vine cultivation back to the early 1700s. Revitalising an ancient vineyard following into disrepair, they have now been running Montenidoli together for over 60 years. Vernaccia di San Gimignano Tradizionale 2022 is a superb wine for those new to Vernaccia. It has great grassy-peppery aromas on the nose along with some creamy nuttiness. On the palate, there are softly-zesty citrus flavours, subtle dried herbs and the unmistakeable almond finish that only great Vernaccia di San Gimignano can provide.
